Plastic Surgery - Gynecomastia Surgery
Gynecomastia (Male Breast Reduction)
Removal of fat and glandular tissue to treat gynecomastia (female-type breast enlargement) in men caused by hormonal imbalance or weight gain.
About the Operation
Gynecomastia is the abnormal enlargement of glandular or fatty tissue in one or both male breasts (female-type breast growth). Surgery is the most effective solution for this aesthetic problem that does not resolve with exercise or diet. It is performed via liposuction (vacuum-assisted fat removal) or the excision of firm, fibrous glandular tissue (gland) through a minimal incision around the nipple. This restores the man's athletic appearance and provides significant psychological relief.
Application Details
- 1If fat is the predominant component, Vaser/Laser Liposuction is performed using thin cannulas.
- 2If the gland (mammary gland) is denser, it is directly excised through a crescent-shaped incision.
- 3Depending on the tissue composition, a compression gynecomastia vest is worn for only 3–4 weeks post-procedure.
Who Is It Suitable For?
- Men who cannot wear fitted T-shirts due to breast size and feel the need to conceal it
- Patients with female-type breast glands that have not regressed since puberty and have asymmetric chests
- Individuals with swollen nipples due to steroid use or hormonal causes
