About the Operation

Breast reduction (reduction mammoplasty) addresses both functional complaints — such as lower back, back, and neck pain caused by the weight and size of the breasts, bra strap grooves, and inframammary rashes or fungal infections — and aesthetic disproportion. Excess glandular tissue, fat, and skin are removed, and the nipple is repositioned to its ideal, elevated anatomical position.

Application Details

  • 1Excess lipid and glandular tissues that make the breast excessively heavy are resected (removed).
  • 2The nipple-areola complex is transposed to a higher position while preserving its viability.
  • 3Minimal scarring is achieved using lollipop (inverted-T) or vertical scar techniques.

Who Is It Suitable For?

  • Those experiencing severe back/neck pain and shoulder grooving due to macromastia
  • Patients who struggle to find clothing and are distressed by their breast size
  • Women whose breasts droop down to the level of the navel
