Dental Health - Impacted Tooth Extraction
Impacted Tooth Extraction
Surgical removal of wisdom teeth or problematic roots that remain trapped beneath the jawbone and fail to erupt.
About the Operation
Impacted tooth extraction is the removal, by a dentist or oral surgeon, of teeth — most commonly third molars (wisdom teeth) — that have become trapped horizontally or at an angle beneath the gum or entirely within the jawbone due to insufficient space, preventing damage to surrounding tissues. Unlike a simple extraction, a flap of gum tissue is reflected and micro-surgery at the bone level is also performed, resulting in a painless expert procedure.
Application Details
- 1Prevents the formation of cysts, decay in adjacent teeth, and dental crowding in the jaw.
- 2After the surgical incision (flap procedure), self-dissolving sutures or aesthetic sutures removed after one week are used.
Who Is It Suitable For?
- Patients with recurrent wisdom tooth abscess, inability to open the mouth fully, or those who need space cleared prior to orthodontic (braces) treatment
