About the Operation

Entirely different from fat-injection augmentation (BBL), this Classic Buttock Lift (Gluteal Lift) addresses the heavy skin/tissue bag that descends onto the back of the thigh due to gravity after weight loss in bariatric patients. Through a horizontal incision above the buttock, the excess skin is excised and the downward-rolling buttocks are lifted (including muscle tightening and suspension) back to their anatomical position and youthful, upright form.

Application Details

  • 1A horizontal scar concealed by a bikini extends only along the upper contour of the buttock.
  • 2In some cases, the excised tissue (flaps) is not discarded but repositioned back into the buttock's own pockets, creating a permanent biological implant volume (autoaugmentation).

Who Is It Suitable For?

  • Men or women embarrassed by buttock skin that hangs like an empty pouch onto the back of the thigh after overcoming obesity
