Dental Health - Monolithic Zirconia
Monolithic Zirconia Coating
Milled from a single dense white zirconia block with no porcelain overlay — virtually immune to chipping or fracture, delivering a strong and lustrous crown.
About the Operation
The defining feature of monolithic zirconia is the complete abandonment of the traditional dual-layer structure (metal substructure + fragile porcelain overlay). Using digital CAD-CAM laser scanning and large 3D CNC milling blocks, the crown is carved entirely from a single, pure zirconia framework — no porcelain addition — which eliminates porcelain chipping even under extreme jaw forces, clenching, or grinding. The result is a crown that is simultaneously bright white, natural in form, and as impact-resistant as armor plate, especially in the posterior chewing zone and for demanding bridge spans.
Application Details
- 1Exceptionally advantageous as it eliminates the risk of glass/porcelain fracture under force — specifically designed for bruxism (teeth-clenching/grinding) cases.
- 2Translucency is moderate, but fracture resistance is extremely high.
Who Is It Suitable For?
- Particularly suited for individuals with strong jaw muscles who suffer from bruxism or clenching during sleep and have fractured or worn down previous porcelain restorations.
